Delivery Manager is responsible for serving as the strategic interface with assigned business units for the purpose of business/IT strategy planning, development, solution discovery, service management, risk management and relationship management.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
- Maintains quality service by enforcing quality and customer service standards; analyzing and resolving quality and customer service problems; identifying trends; recommending system improvements.
- Provides leadership, organizational structure and resource management for multiple Engineering teams.
- Establishes and organizes application development plans aligned with the goals / strategies of the business staffed with appropriately skilled technical resources.
- Plans work for subordinates, monitors performance, and conducts performance appraisals. Interviews and makes recommendations for additional staff. Maintains staff by recruiting, selecting, orienting, and training employees; maintaining a safe, secure, and legal work environment; developing personal growth opportunities.
- Accomplishes staff results by communicating job expectations; planning, monitoring, and appraising job results; coaching, counseling, and disciplining employees; developing, coordinating, and enforcing systems, policies, procedures, and productivity standards.
- Ensure project deliverables are accomplished on time and within budget.
- Communicates technical and operational issues to engineering and audit leadership in a timely manner.
- Ensure that all technology standards are adhered to while developing systems.
- Support business required technology freeze periods.
- Work collaboratively with business partners to define and ensure the completeness and accuracy of system / technical requirements.
- Communication between business, client, staff and engineering teams.
- Manages staff, teams, and matrix resources to meet service delivery SLAs
- Planning and management of projects supporting Enterprise areas.

RELEVANT EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS
- Masters or Bachelors in Engineering in IT/ Electronics / Communication / Computer Science / Information Systems.
- 13+ years of experience in IT development with minimum 6+ years of experience in application design activities.
- Exposure to Agile / TDD / BDD based development
- Exposure to business process workflow analysis such as JBPM, Mendix etc. experience preferred.
- Organizational skills with ability to be flexible and work with minimal direction
- Ability to work well independently and in a team environment.
- Troubleshoot bottlenecks and propose changes to fix them.
