Overview

The Director, Audit Operations Mexico position is responsible for providing leadership and management for assigned Mexico audit operations, supporting US/CA-based clients and/or Mexico-based clients as assigned. Responsibilities would include the successful execution of Cotiviti Retail objectives, which include providing support for US-based audits, as well as Mexico-based audits. This includes coordination of staff needs to deliver on Cotiviti Retail’s Mexico operations, training, scheduling, creation and enforcement of general office policies and procedures, etc. For US/CA-based work, the Director Audit Operations Mexico will partner with other business owners to ensure each audit’s needs are met with appropriate Mexico staff and will act as the in-office supervisor to all Mexico staff assigned. This role will partner with the Operational Efficiency team to develop and implement training programs with the goal to increase skill sets of the Mexico team over time.  

Responsibilities

  • Provides day-to-day supervision and direction to assigned audit team. Ensures operations are running optimally and processes and procedures are being followed. Ensure appropriate staffing levels, and plan and organize workloads and staff assignments according to the needs of the audit. Manages the overall performance, productivity and quality assurance of the assigned audit team.
  • Ownership and maintenance of an office-wide staffing matrix with skillsets and competency models
  • Creates and runs quarterly Mexico business reviews for the Mexico City staff
  • Directs the successful delivery of audit services to the business owners.
  • Continually works to improve efficiency, productivity and reduce operational costs.
  • Serves as an escalation point to resolve any employee issues
  • Consistent with good people management practices and company values.
  • Management of direct reports including all corporate duties associated with people leadership.
  • Hire, develop, coach, lead and retain top-tier talent, with a focus on building and improving a team and culture that can be able to assist in employing best in class practices to support and drive high levels of internal and external customer satisfaction.
  • Follow established processes for training and career progression to enable revenue growth and support staff development and engagement. Promote & participate in cross training team members across accounts, knowledge sharing activities such as best practices, benchmarking, whitepapers and IT tools enhancement.
  • Ensure that all levels of staff are properly trained on policies, procedures and best practices and that proper training, education and required certifications are maintained as required.
  • Innate ability to share knowledge and develop audit skills in others. Broadly fosters formal and informal knowledge sharing activities.
  • Capitalizes on audit resources to extend current or business capabilities, ensuring that client demands are met in the short and long term.
  • Direct accountability for overall Quality Control Process within the audit. Demonstrates advanced expertise and comprehension (knowledge) of claim categories, claim types. Holds the Audit team accountable for ensuring submission and execution of quality work, proper use of available proprietary software, reports and IT resources to conduct audits.
  • Demonstrates understanding of Cotiviti policies & procedures Assures confidentiality and security of all data. Demonstrates the skills, knowledge, and ability to ensure that our environment is a safe one, complying with industry standards.
  • Maintains strict adherence to organizational values for both Cotiviti and client.
  • Complete all responsibilities as outlined in the annual Performance Plan.
  • Complete all special projects and other duties as assigned.
  • Work closely with Human Resources to lead the team with integrity and to establish and maintain a trusting, inclusive, and productive environment
  • Boost speed and efficiency while supporting rapidly shifting business demands
  • Maintains strict adherence to organizational rules and values for Cotiviti Mexico
  • Responsible for driving audit, project, and account growth to grow Cotiviti Mexico Operations as tracked against goals and key performance indicators. 

Qualifications

  • Fully Bi-Lingual (both written and verbal)
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business or Finance; or an equivalent combination of experience and education.
  • Minimum 10 years of experience in Retail Audit Operations, with experience managing teams and processes across multiple clients.
  • Masterful organizational, communication, and leadership skills, backed by previous professional success
  • Superior knowledge of multiple operational functions and principles, customer service, and employee management
  • Proven ability to plan and manage operational processes for maximum efficiency and productivity
  • Strong working knowledge of industry regulations and legal guidelines
  • Must possess both strong analytical skills, and the ability to think strategically.
  • Must have strong presentation skills with both internal and external clients.
  • Must have proven ability to build strong client relationships.
  • Willing to travel (potentially Internationally) to clients, Cotiviti offices, conferences, training, etc. as required.
