Working in an agile software development environment, the Technical Lead Automation, QA should lead the effort to develop automation suite, build new test frameworks or enhance existing frameworks. These frameworks allow us to perform end-to-end, regression testing in multi-component environments. He/She will be working with automation test engineers to develop automation for functional/regression test cases, maintain/develop a reusable architecture/framework for the test automation.

Responsible for working on the technical Debts of the team and recommend appropriate Automation Solutions. Holds the team accountable to the automation standards.
• Participate in Daily Stand up Calls, works closely with the Agile Manager to know the deliverables and commitments of each Release/Sprint, coordinates with all the Automation team members to clear the impediments for progression.
• Create Test Automation Scripts as per Test scenarios/cases by following Automation Standards and make sure that 100% Automation Code coverage is followed with respect to the test scenario/case functionality.
• Monitors the adherence to Automation Coding standards in development and able to produce quantifiable metrics to measure success; ensures test deliverables are prepared per enterprise guidelines for Automation team.
• Maintains an understanding of test Automation Methodologies, and process. Be a champion for Test Automation within QA organization.
• Provide coaching and guidance to the Automation Team on “best practices”. Responsible for reviewing the code and document the review comments.
• Produce a POC report on any new Automation Tool and come with new ideas to improve the automation coverage for projects.
• Create and maintain Automation Approach, Coding Standards and Code Review Process
• Define Test Automation best practices, Framework approach for HP UFT or any Open Source (Selenium Web Driver) based automation.
• Implement and encourage Automation team on follow test Driven Development in alignment to AGILE process.

Masters or bachelor’s in engineering in IT/ Electronics / Communication / Computer Science / Information Systems.
• 8 years’ experience in IT services with minimum 7+ years’ experience in Automation Testing using HP UFT, Lean FT, and Selenium Web Driver.
• Good understanding of Scrum Methodology, Code Quality, Continuous Integration and Unit Testing.
• Hands on experience to drive quality automation, strong testing practices and self- service culture.
• Expertise in Test Automation Framework, Automation Development using VB Script, JAVA.
• Should be able to implement Test Driven Development (TDD) or Behavior Driven Development (BDD) using JAVA, CUCUMBER, JBEHAVE, JUNIT, SELENIUM or LEAN FT.
• Should be Automation savvy to accomplish the desired results. • Exposure in working with different group of people (Software Architects, Developers, Dev – ops) to enable continuous integration of automation execution for continuous delivery. • Experience in working with Continuous Build Automation tools like Bamboo, Jenkins etc., • Experience in working with Web Services is a plus.
• Proficient with test/agile management tools HP ALM, RALLY and JIRA is desired.
